Scholar, Statesman and Diplomat. Born in Jerusalem, May, 1922.
Secondary education, Victoria College in Alexandria, Egypt 1936-1940.
Undergraduate study: American University of Beirut 1940-1943, BA in Political Science. Law School, Jerusalem 1943-1948, Law Degree 1948.
Woodraw Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, New Jersey, USA, 1952 M.P.A Degree. Politics Department, Princeton University, MA Degree 1953, and Ph.D. in 1954.

MAIN INTERESTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Foreign Affairs Minister of Jordan, 1962-1966; Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court and Political Adviser of the late King Hussein. Minister of reconstruction and Development, 1967-1968. Dr. Hazem Nuseibeh’s career included 15 years of service as Ambassador; Egypt 1969-1971; Turkey 1971-1972; Italy, Switzerland and Austria 1972-1974; Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United nations 1976-1982, including a term of service at the security Council representing the Arab and Asian Blocs. Member of the Jordan senate 1982-1989.

PUBLICATIONS: Dr. Hazem has written several academic books including the " Ideas of Arab Nationalism" published by Cornell University Press, U.S.A., "Palestine and the United nations", Quartet Publishers 1980, and translations of two important books from Arabic to English, " The Philosophy of Jurisprudence in Islam" by Subhi Mahmasani and " The Independence Movements in Arab North Africa" by Allal-al-Fassi, the Moroccan leader. In Arabic Dr. Nuseibeh has written a "History of Modern Jordan" and political commentaries under the title " We and the World". Dr. Nuseibeh also lectured extensively on Arab and International Affairs and gave courses on these subjects at the Jordan University as well as the national War College.

HOBBIES: Dr. Hazem Nuseibeh won several national and international championships in tennis, Alexandria 1938, Jerusalem 1942, Beirut 1943. Presently farming and active retirement.
