ALIYEH IBRAHIM SULEIMAN Nuseibeh, is a prominent educationists in Jerusalem. She studied at the English College in Jerusalem and graduated with a diploma in education. She later joined the American University of Beirut for courses in management. She worked as the headmistress of Al-Ma’mouniyeh School for girls in Jerusalem till 1967. After refusing to go on with her work after the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, in 1970, she established a school in Beit Hanina and called it Al-Nithamiyeh School. The school later on became part of the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem for protection. The school gradually grew to accommodate 1000 students providing secondary education. Ms. Aliyeh is still running the school.
